Highballer for “Wilderness” (name of tree planting company) last year. Attacked by bear while planting last year. The bear was actually bothering another planter but Dale stepped in and was stalked by the bear as it swiped at his feet finally causing him to trip and fall. Able to get up and hit bear over head with shovel stunning it long enough to get him and other planter out to safety.

He started planting half way through season this year and on first day planting he out planted the rest of the crew who had already been planting for a month.
